millionbitpipes HARVEY finevoice (OU) atop the fourth wall Seems like a good chap, and it's great to find someone sensible (and American) in this weird place. Even if he seems to know more about magic than Butch does, he's a clever kid that knows that guns are good stuff that shouldn't be messed with. Possibly a little weird, but then again, he is from the future with a hundred years, so maybe it can be possible to accept that people have learnt how to fly. Maybe, in due time. Butch also doesn't dislike his singing. If he had his harmonica, they could even have played a duet, someday, but alas, they're not that lucky. | badassfreakingoverlord zetta (OU) makai kingdom A really interesting guy who seem to have a lot going on all the time. Even when he gets annoyed at animals sneaking into his castle ruins. He reminds of some of the rowdy b'hoys Butch has met, and in Butch's mind, Zetta is the B'hoy Overlord chap. He's fun to talk to, and while they have little in common and divided opinions, Zetta is good to talk to, because he has a lot of other experiences than Butch does. And then they seem to be on the same side of the law, in one way, even if Zetta states to be the law. Never mind that he also seems to be one of the Big Guns in his world, at least he's worked hard to become one. Had Butch known how Zetta looks when he looks human, he would have called him a Belvidere (which means andsome man) because if anything, Butch is honest about looks. | Jack frost (OU) rise of the guardians He seems like a fun kid, even if he happens to be stuck between hay and grass. It's a pity that he has left and gone wherever, it would have been fun to talk to him more. |
sailorlaughter pinkie pie (AU) my little pony: fim He can't really follow her because while he likes cheerful people, he's not been around someone this cheerful since a long time. She's a "Pink Bazoo Kiddo", who always lets her mouth run wild without a second thought. He's not sure he'll ever be able to keep up with her, but thankfully, not everypony are as energic as her. | i_am_the_doctor The 11th doctor (OU) Doctor who He's a very helpful chap that Butch, right now, does not know much about at all. He knows he can do magic, since he helped him up in a tree when he was having trouble climbing up it, and he's sure he'll like him once he gets to know the Doctor more. | Suspendisse potenti. Suspendisse potenti. Etiam nec urna et nisi facilisis hendrerit eu nec quam. In hac habitasse platea dictumst. Aenean tincidunt felis sed justo tincidunt a lacinia purus interdum. Praesent tellus est, elementum non facilisis ac, placerat non velit. Nam ut tristique ipsum. Phasellus a turpis lacus. |

Personality:
Butch is quite a cocky person. He believe in himself a lot, and believes in his ideas – even when they happen to be really stupid. He is confident with himself, and don't often regret what he does. Some would even call him full of himself, but he wouldn't agree. He ”lives in today and not in the future”, and because he believe that the Wild Bunch only has a present and no future, he don't hesitate taking chances. He don't care what happens to him, if he get killed by a bullet or a few, if he gets swallowed by a dragon (although that wasn't really on the list before he came to the Drif world) or if he die of tobacco poisoning.
He's quick to action, again, due to no walls existing in his mind that stops him from acting without thinking. He's rushed, but he's also planned. Because at the same time as he can be a big idiot, he's also intelligent. Not concerning everything – far from – but he's still knowledgeable about a lot of different – often useless – things. Some of the useful things that he knows about is trains, banks and guns. And also how to efficiently rob both banks and trains.
Butch is an impulsive man, always doing things without planning before acting. Because being on the edge of things make him feel the thrill of living. And now that he's not in America robbing trains anymore, he need something else to give him that thrill. The fights in the Drif world made him enjoy himself quite a lot. He is not afraid of much, and not really of dying. While he don't exactly want to die, he want to live a life without any regrets.
His way of acting without thinking can also make him a bit rude or brash, but it's not really like he mean it all the time. Sometimes he does, sometimes he doesn't. Not that he very often regret what he says, though.
He is a pretty happy person at the same time, and he really enjoy meeting new interesting people. He can be pretty innocent at times, too. Especially when he's enjoying something he find really fun.
He enjoys smoking, drinking and robbing trains. He wish he could smoke as much as he wanted until the day he drops dead. He can be simple-minded and pure-hearted, if that's even possible for one of the cowboys that once ruled the Wild West.
As stated above, Butch is a heavy smoker, and he says that he would kill for a smoke. If he really would do that (since Kid actually have two cigarettes that he refuse to give to Butch) is another matter entirely. If it was someone else that hid them from him, he might actually do it.
This shows that he also can be a bit unstable, but it's not a very big problem most of the times. Only at times where he really would need to focus, but he just can't because he's craving a smoke so badly.
He don't see very many things that happen as much of a problem to him, even if – for example – the Sundance Kid wouldn't agree with him. He take everything as it comes, even running out of ammunition in a world where guns are yet to be invented. Then again, Nobunaga is working on producing those things, which he finds really cool.
He also like people with a lot of guts, who don't show any fear. They can be both quite fun and interesting, after all.
Now if he at least could smoke to his hearts content...
Strengths: He’s good with people, and in his original world, he’s good at horses. He’s good with guns, he’s clever and he easily understand what people are talking about or what’s going on without any prior knowledge.
Weaknesses:
He’s got tendencies to get easily distracted by interesting things, and also has little sense of personal space. Going too long without tobacco can make him irritated and he’s probably poisoned his body with how addicted he is. He’s not the greatest at explaining, either, since he tends to grasp things fast, and though things may make complete sense in his mind, he sometimes make himself less understandable.
Pony/Animal Type: Earth pony
Cutie Mark: A bullet with a huge grin much like his own typical grin, symbolizing his straight-ahead and cheerful personality. There’s a explosion-like flare at the butt of the bullet, because of his explosive traits, and because he loves dynamite and explosions. Behind the bullet is a money-sack with a dollar sign, because his profession is/was a bank and train robber, and because there is a lot of fun to do with money, and he loves having fun.

First Person:
[ Butch knows how to write, well, normally. He don't really know how to write with hooves, even if he's spent his whole life more or less surrounded by horses. And that he turns of the video feed is purely accidential. ]
Damnit, shit, that being a horse'd be this tricky---fuck! What am I supposed to do with this crap anyways? Like a one-line diary or something?
[ And then he notices that there's weird stuff happening with the scroll. ]
Woah, whatthe--!? Moving picture. Why is there a picture anyways? Why's it moving---how's it moving? Shit.
[ He tries to get to his guns but with not being used to this anatomy, he simply topples over ungracefully, and lets out a long string of rough curses. ]
This is not what I had intended to do today, goddamnit!
Third Person: (intended as a sample for another game, sorry)
It’s not as if he have never woken up in a place he don’t know before. But seriously? What’s up with this? Darkness is not really comforting when you can feel that something is off. Staying where he is for a moment, he look around and then get up on his feet. This room was weird, and like nothing he had seen before. It was eerie and not very pleasant.
He feels surprisingly light, it’s almost unnerving. He make a reach for his gun, and look down when he find it’s not where it should be. “What the...?” He look around the ground, but can’t find any trace of it. “Fuck.” He’d rather have his weapons in a place he don’t know anything about; when he arrived to that other world, at least he had an arsenal of varying guns, and Kid as company..
There is something nagging his mind, as if there’s something new inside him. He don’t know what it is, but it feels... comforting, in a way. He shove his hands into his pockets, and of course there’s no cigarettes there. He’s been out a long time, and the one who had the last pair was Kid. And he refused to share, too. Damnit, he wanted a smoke so he could calm down and figure out this shit.
Taking a couple of deep breaths, Butch sit back down on the floor. He keep his eyes open, observing. Listens after any sounds, but hear nothing. What was this place? It was disturbing. And not having his weapons unsettles him more and more as he figure out nothing from his surroundings. Was he somewhere in the north? Canada? He’d never really been to Canada, but it wasn’t an impossibility, right? He scowl, and stand once more. “I guess I’ll look around a bit more properly.” he huffed.

He is present at the start of the Blacklord's army's attack, and is on standby by a carriage that is loaded with different firearms. He and Kid considers ditching the people they're waiting for – Hannibal and Scipoio, that is – but the two arrive shortly after, and together with them, they make to leave the fort, by a request on Abe no Seimei's part. As they are in the middle of a battlefield, they have to fight their way through. They cut very close, and Butch is almost fried by a dragon. The dragon is shot down by the pilot Kanno Naoshi, who just recently fell in through a portal in the sky together with his WWII battle plane.
Some time later, they pick up Seimei and head for the location of the other Drifters – Shimazu Toyohisa, Oda Nobunaga and Nasu no Yoichi. On the way there, however, Scipio fall off the carriage and as they were followed by enemies, they didn't have the time to stop and pick him up.
The first time that Butch met the Drifters from the castle ruins (Toyohisa, Nobunaga and Yoichi, that is) was in the middle of another battle. Gilles de Rais and Jeanne d'Arc had, together with foot soldiers from the Blacklord's army, attacked the castle they are based at. The first they see is the battle between Yoichi and Gilles, just as Yoichi is being strangled by Gilles' chains. Using the last of their ammunition for the gatling gun, Kid blast Gilles to pieces – although Gilles turn to salt for some unknown reason.
Butch and Kid show and demonstrate their guns to Nobunaga, who is very interested in the weapons. Not that Butch get why Nobunaga is so excited over the gatling gun, nor does he understand the battle strategies that he is talking about. When Nobunaga tell him and Kid that they're making gunpowder, however, he get really excited over that, because they didn't know how to make gunpowder themselves.
He gave one of his guns to Nobunaga when he and the other Castle Ruin's Drifters were about to set out to free the dwarfs, and asked that once Nobunaga manage to get bullets manufactured, they leave some for him and Kid.
As for where Butch and them went after that, they left the ruins to find Scipio and to return to the Octobrist headquarters, acting like some sort of escorts to Seimei and Hannibal.
